Update: Police investigation after pedestrian died on A264

Police have launched an investigation after a pedestrian died on the A264.

A 51-year-old man from Horsham was pronounced dead at the scene after he was struck by a white Mercedes Benz CLA 220 car at the Old Holbrook junction at 12.58am on Sunday (November 1), police said.

The male car driver, 42, from Billingshurst, was uninjured.

The A264 was closed in both directions between the Rusper Road and Great Daux roundabouts until 10.55am.

Witnesses were asked to contact police by calling 101 or emailing [email protected], quoting Operation Highclere.
