Two arrested after Horsham railway station incident

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of fare evasion following an incident at Horsham railway station early this morning (Friday August 3).

British Transport Police (BTP) attended the scene at 6.37am.

A BTP spokeswoman said: “I can confirm that two men have been arrested on suspicion of fare evasion following an incident at Horsham rail station on Friday August 3.

“A 26-year-old man from Woolwich and a 22-year-old man from Eltham are currently being interviewed in connection with the incident, which was reported to BTP at 6.37am.”

The incident reportedly delayed trains.

Bill Boswell tweeted at 8am: “Just heard announcement of train delayed due to police attending a disturbance on train at Horsham, makes change from leaves on track!”
