Police are appealing for witnesses to a spate of thefts from Ford Transit vans in East Grinstead last month.

Power tools were stolen from the vehicles, mainly overnight, from October 24 to 31.

The vans were parked in Maple Drive, Woodbury Avenue, Estcots Drive, St Johns Road and Newlands Crescent.

Van owners are being warned to be vigilant by removing power tools and other property from the vehicles, making sure they are locked, parked in a garage or driveway or under a street light.

Anyone who has any information or has witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area should contact police by emailing 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or ring 101 quoting serial 0341 of 24/10.
