Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen her leave or walk in the area.

Detective chief inspector Karen Mizzi of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team said: “I am appealing for information from anyone who may have seen Janet on Thursday night (March 12).

“Officers will be talking to people and just asking them to stop for a moment and think about whether they were in the area at the relevant time and whether they recall seeing Janet.

“We are trying to build a picture of what happened to her from when she was last seen at the hospital.”
