Police appeal for witnesses to dog attack in Horsham

Police are appealing for witnesses after a dog attacked another dog in Owlbeech Woods, Horsham.

The incident happened on Monday (14 April) at about 10.50am near the entrance to the wood by the children’s play area.

A greyhound was being walked on the lead when a rottweiler dog which was off the lead approached it and starting to bite the tail of the greyhound.

The woman with the Rottweiler is described as white, 5ft 5in, slim with shoulder length brown hair and was wearing sunglasses.

She had three young children with her one of whom was in a pushchair. The dog may possibly be called ‘Summer’.

The greyhound had to undergo treatment at the vet.

PC Ollie Pullen said: “We are trying to trace this woman and the dog. We are aware that some information relating to this incident has been posted on social networking sites and we would request that if anyone has details about this incident then they contact police.”
