A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “The crimes happened after it had begun to go dark but before the victims had returned home for the night. Jewellery was stolen from the homes.”

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a burglary in Livingstone Road, Horsham, on 29 December, and has been released on bail until February 2.
