Jewellery worth £15,000 snatched from Warninglid home

Jewellery worth more than £15,000 has been snatched from a home in Warninglid.

The home in Highlands, off Brighton Road, was raided some time between 8am and 9am on Thursday (March 13) while the residents were in.

They gained access via an open window.

Among the items stolen were gold and diamond rings and gold bracelets.

Detective constable Andy Robinson said: “The pieces that were stolen were distinctive, chunky pieces of jewellery that were each very valuable.

“I want to speak to anyone who was in the area on Thursday morning and may have seen someone acting suspiciously around any of the homes.

“If you have been offered any large gold rings or bracelets since Thursday or have heard of any for sale please contact us.”
