Horsham neighbourhood policing team has been given a sponsored car by Lifestyle Ford and Swan Walk shopping centre.

A sponsorship project has been running between the three organisations for three years.

Chief inspector Howard Hodges, Horsham district commander, said: “We are delighted that we have continued to benefit from the generosity and community-spirited provision of a sponsored vehicle from Lifestyle Ford and Swan Walk.

“Partnership working is key to catching criminals and keeping people safe and this vehicle helps my staff to maintain their visibility, availability and patrols across the district.”

James Maciejewski, the sales manager for Lifestyle Ford in Broadbridge Heath, said: “We are extremely proud to continue supporting the neighbourhood policing team in Horsham.”

Swan Walk centre manager Gill Buchanan said: “Swan Walk has a longstanding and proactive relationship with the wider community and everyone’s safety and security is a priory for us, whether in the centre or at home.

“We know that this car allows the neighbourhood policing team to be more effective and to support our customers in their home villages as well as when they are shopping in the town centre.”
