Horsham Police has doanted £316 to a charity that helps bereaved families in West Sussex.

A police spokesman said Cruse Bereavement Care, West Sussex Area, would use the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF) funding to print leaflets to inform bereaved people of the service.

Michael Milligan, Area Chair said: “We are delighted to receive this donation from Sussex Police. The leaflet will be displayed in all GP surgeries and community sites within the county and will also be sent out to anyone seeking bereavement support either for themselves or someone they are caring for.”

Police Community Support Officer Carol Boniface said: “I was very pleased to be able to present this amount to Cruse Bereavement to allow them to continue offering their counselling service within the county.”

The PPAF is made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
