Police said a 21-year-old Horsham man has been arrested on suspicion of rape, and is currently on police bail until March 5 while enquiries continue.

Officers are seeking a car owner who they believe may have information to help their investigation.

Police said the car, a 4x4, possibly a Jeep, silver in colour, and of an older style, between seven to ten years old, was seen parked in the road on the evening of the incident.

Detective constable Karrie Bohanna said; “There is no suggestion that the 4x4 owner had anything to do with the offence, but it could be that they saw something which may now help us, even without realising it at the time.
