Horsham charity the Butterfly Project has received a financial boost from the local police force.

Horsham police have donated £150 to the Springfield Road-based charity, which supports adults with learning difficulties, autism and other disabilities to engage in work and community activities, to help them develop work and personal skills.

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

PC Darren Worsfold said: “We are always happy to support local organisations such as the Butterfly Project and I am happy in the knowledge that this money will be spent on developing new initiatives.”
