Henfield nursery break-in

THIEVES left a trail of damage while stealing plants from Birchfield Nursery, Kidders Lane, Henfield.

The intruders damaged fencing to get into the nursery and slashed four polytunnels which held plants worth £1,600 each.

Saplings growing in pots were also taken.

A statement from police said: “Persons responsible have left the nursery in a poor state with debris left strewn everywhere.”
