Dog ornament with sentimental value stolen from Steyning estate agents

An ornament depicting dogs has been stolen after an estate agents in Steyning was broken into last weekend.

The burglary at Osbourn Humphreys in High Street happened at some time between midnight on Saturday January 31 and Monday February 2.

Police said the thief got into the firm’s High Street premises through a window giving onto an alleyway, next to The Chequers pub.

PC John Burt, of the Horsham district neighbourhood policing team, said: “The stolen item was removed from a desk.

“It was a gift presented to a member of staff and consequently has huge sentimental value for that person.”

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information can email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting serial 271 of 2/2.
