The following are results contributed by HM Court Service, of cases sentenced by Sussex Northern magistrates sitting at Horsham and Crawley.

Peter Balchin, 59, of Brown Close, Broadbridge Heath, was given a two week jail sentence, suspended for six months, with an £80 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to one count of theft from Morrisons in Crawley, and two counts of theft from Waitrose in Horsham, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

Graham Old, 41, of Reims Court, Northampton, was fined £80, with a £20 victim services surcharge, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding on the A24 at Dial Post.

Nigel Oakes, 65, of Woodlea Road, Worthing, was fined £80, with a £20 vicitm services surcharge, £85 costs, and four penalty points added to his licence. He had been convicted in his absence of speeding in Forest Road, Colgate.

Lynne Brookwell, 55, of Kingsfield, Storrington, was banned from driving for two weeks, with a £100 fine, a £20 victim services surcharge, and £50 costs. She had pleaded guilty to speeding in Thakeham Road, Storrington.

Callum Shepherd, 18, of Chapmans Town Road, Rushlake Green, was fined £100, with a £20 victim services surcharge, £50 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a red traffic light at Buck Barn.

Luke Tucker, 45, of London Road, Handcross, was banned from driving for a year, with a £120 fine, a £20 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to driving with illegal levels of cocaine in his blood in Coltsfoot Drive, Horsham.

Cheryl Probin, 25, of Roberts Close, Southwater, was banned from driving for a year, with a £200 fine, a £30 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. She had pleaded guilty to drink driving in Worthing Road, Southwater.

Steven Alston, 40, of Greenacres, Steyning, was fined £300, with a £30 victim services surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention in Washington Road, Wiston.

Scott Orchard, 42, of Elm Grove, Sutton, was fined £470, with a £35 victim services surcharge, £85 costs, and seven penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, failing to stop after an accident, both in Horsham Road, Rusper, and to failing to report an accident to police.

Donald Mardell, 54, of Longfield Road, Horsham, was given an eight week jail sentence, suspended for a year, with a £115 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and to two counts of common assault, all in Horsham Park, using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in Horsham, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

Justin Akinmuboni, 42, of Pelling Way, Broadbridge Heath, was given a 12 week jail sentence suspended for a year, with £100 hours of unpaid work, an £80 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm, in Billingshurst. A restraining order was made, barring him from contacting the victim, or going to an address in Billingshurst.

Christopher Little, 61, of Marlpost Road, Southwater, was fined £80, with a £20 victim services surcharge, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding.
