Police were called before a crunch council meeting about the future of housing in Horsham got underway this evening (Wednesday April 30).
Officials at Horsham District Council called officers at around 5.40pm after a man ‘pushed his way’ into council chambers where a debate on whether or not to approve blueprint housing plans which include a 2,500 home and business park development takes place tonight.
A spokesperson for Horsham police said: “The meeting reached its capacity and people were told to go to the nearby Capitol Theatre.
“A male pushed his way through and was asked to leave for fire regulation reasons.”
The man left as soon as police were called.
