A multi vehicle accident has left a lane closed on one of the county’s major routes, while surface water causes delays elsewhere.

Delays are being reported on the A27 eastbound after a crash near the junction with Poling Street, Poling.

Surface water from last night’s heavy rain is holding up traffic on the A24 northbound at Findon roundabout, and in both directions on the B2112 at the junction with Beacon Road, Ditchling.

Drivers in Kingston, near Lewes, are also having problems, with water on the ground causing delays in both directions in Ashcombe Lane.

Around 8.30am, reports came in of queueing traffic at Broadbridge Heath, caused by more surface water on the A24.
