A three day drone festival is taking place in the disused limestone quarry, part of the Cowdray Estate at Cocking.
The quarry, off the A286 between Midhurst and Chichester, over 800m wide and 50m tall, makes it a visually stunning flying site and 128 pilot slots are being made available from May 28-30, including multiple race events and social flying activities, along with workshops and vendor stands.
Spectators are welcome with free day tickets available and there is camping for a small cost.
The main event will be The Cowdray Cup when pilots will be offered the chance to push their skills and their drone to the limit, with an epic track winding up steep paths and down vertical cliff faces.
In addition to the main event, less formal racing will take place after sundown when the LED gates will be turned on for informal three lap races late into the night.
