Cowboys and girls hit the ‘wild wild west’

Villagers prepared their saddles, donned their cowboy hats and hit the dusty trail for Lodge Hill Centre’s Wild West Fete last weekend.

Featuring rifle shooting, climbing tower, abseiling, archery and trapeze activities, families had a rooting-tooting good time on Saturday, July 6, at Watersfield, near Pulborough.

For a taste of the old west market, there were many craft stalls where you could pick up a unique gift, or a yummy treat. You could even see a genuine blacksmith hard at work.

Dressed to impress, residents took part in a costume showdown to battle it out for the prize.

And for those feeling really lucky took their chances at the raffle, tombola and hoopla to try and win big.

For the belly, a delicious barbecue, cakes and beverages were handy.
