The Sussex Country Show graced the picturesque grounds of Parham Park over the weekend on the 20th and 21st June with a wonderful array of countryside entertainment.

Visitors in their thousands flooded through the gates to have-a-go in sporting championships, browse the stalls, witness some first-class entertainment and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

The Main Arena hosted acts such as the hilarious Lamb National, the exhilarating Imps Motorcycle Display Team, Brian ‘Brin’ Brinded’s art of long-netting, as well as Ricky Maloney and the Ribblesdale Labradors showcasing skilled dog training. Away from the Main Arena were qualifying rounds of popular sporting championships such as the Great Wall Motor World Series Gundog Championships with Skinner’s, and the Great Wall Motor World Series Clay Shooting Championships with Armsan and Promatic.

Sussex saw competitors go head to head to be in with a chance of winning the generous prize of a Great Wall Steed pick-up truck, as well as prestigious championship titles.

It was the perfect day out for families with plenty of have-a-go activities for kids including archery, airguns and crossbows and catapults.

Hugh Nightingale performed magic before the crowds, dazzling them with his unexplainable magic tricks, and the Mole Show offered an educational yet entertaining insight into the world of moles.
