Funds from planning agreements were made available for a community hall and sports pavilion at Finches Field, Pease Pottage, eight years ago.

Mid Sussex District councillor Pru Moore, cabinet Member for Leisure and Sustainability, said: “Concept drawings were drafted in the Summer of 2014, given to the parish council and the design was discussed in January this year.

“We are now talking with the parish about the proposed designs along with plans for managing and operating the hall.

“Recent discussions have focussed on the design of the roof, its cost and the impact on the budget for the rest of the building.

“Once these are agreed we can proceed to the next stage. As you would expect we are open to any new ideas that secure the best possible hall within the money that is available.”
