Rats, mice, bed bugs, wasps and cockroaches continue to be a threat to public health.

These pests are unwelcome visitors as they can cause disease, distress and damage.

Last year, Horsham District Council’s Pest Control team carried out over 1,000 treatments to control pests and in addition gave advice to over 500 enquirers.

They also carry out treatments for mice, squirrels and a range of insects including fleas and offer a service to businesses to regularly inspect and treat for rats to prevent problems arising.

Sue Rogers, Horsham District Council’s cabinet member for a safer and healthier district, said: “The Council’s Pest Control officers offer a vitally important service to the district in eradicating these very unwanted visitors.”
