The council has joined forces with supermarket giant Tesco to help promote Horsham town centre.
A recent meeting between Horsham District Council and Tesco Horsham identified areas of mutual interest in supporting the local community and it was agreed they would work together to promote Horsham town centre with the objective of attracting more visitors to the town.
In collaboration with Tesco Horsham one of the initiatives was to develop a billboard poster site as a permanent display area to advertise town centre attractions.
Helena Croft (Con, Roffey North), HDC’s deputy leader and cabinet member for Horsham town, said: “I am delighted that such a major corporation as Tesco has agreed to work together with us to promote the many attractions Horsham has to offer.
“Our Experience Horsham poster, situated outside the main entrance to the superstore is the ideal location to showcase the town.”
Lee Laflain, superstore manager, added: “I am very pleased that Tesco are able to support our local community in this way.
“I believe we should use our scale to positive effect to support the local council and help raise the profile of Horsham town centre.”
