RESIDENTS planning street parties for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June have until tomorrow (Friday) to submit their road closure applications to Horsham District Council.

The deadline for applications was today (Monday May 14) but applications received until Friday May 18 will still be considered.

On Monday 51 roads were currently scheduled to close for street parties across the Jubilee bank holiday weekend in June.

Residents are reminded that the fees for road closures have been generously waived by Horsham District Council for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee period although those planning a party are advised to take out their own public liability insurance.
