Conservatives gain Hassocks & Victoria from Lib Dems

Conservative Andy Petch has been elected as member for Hassocks and Victoria division in the West Sussex County Council elections.

Cllr Petch received 1464 of the votes, with UKIP’s Ralph Wylam receiving 678 votes.

Liberal Democrats Kristian Bergreen received 635 votes and Labour’s Linda Taylor received 383.

The Green Party’s Victoria Standfast received 285 votes and independent Scott McCarthy received 113.

The turnout for the vote was 35.14 per cent.
