Westlake House Care Home in Horsham recently held a pamper day and afternoon tea to celebrate International Nurses’ Day and say thank you to the nurses and care staff that make a real difference to the lives of those in their care.
A team of students and their tutors from Central Sussex College provided an array of beauty treatments for nurses, staff and residents to enjoy. Nurses’ Day is a chance to recognise and reward the important work and dedication of nurses everywhere, who often go above and beyond the call of duty.
Louisa Moyo, the first floor sister at the home, said “I realised I wanted to be a nurse at the age of 11 years, a desire I fulfilled, and today I continue to work in this career with great satisfaction”.
Joanna March, General Manager at the home, said: “It is so important to celebrate and appreciate the important role of nurses from around the world and at Westlake House. The students from Central Sussex College were excellent at making everyone feel pampered and beautiful. Thank you!”
