Music and DVD chain HMV is to appoint an administrator.

The high street chain, which has branches in Horsham and Crawley, will keep its 239 stores open while Deloitte seek potential buyers.

HMV has confirmed it will not be accepting gift cards or vouchers, according to national media reports.

It follows the collapse of Jessops, the camera retailer, which closed on Friday with the loss of 1,400 jobs.
