Top business leaders from around Sussex travelled to Westminster this month to meet MPs from Sussex and North Hampshire.
More than 70 top Sussex business leaders made the trip, organised by the chamber of commerce for the region, Sussex Enterprise, with the aim of allowing members the opportunity to talk with MPs about general business issues, and allowing them to network with other group members.
Wendy Bell, general manager at Sussex Enterprise said: “I am delighted to see so many people attending this year especially during the current economic climate.
“It’s vitally important that politicians speak to the real businesses to keep them informed of what it’s actually like to run a company in today’s increasingly competitive world. We are hoping that the views heard by MPs at this event will help to shape the decisions that affect all local businesses.”
Amber Rudd, MP for Hastings & Rye hosted the event, with Andrew Tyrie, MP for Chichester, Peter Bottomley, MP for Worthing West, and Nick Herbert MP for Arundel and South Downs, present.
