Santander to close town centre branch
SPANISH bank Santander has announced it will closing one of its three Horsham town centre branches.
After its take over of Abbey, Alliance & Leicester and Bradford & Bingley businesses, Santander was left with three premises in the town.
From February 25, the branch at number 4 Carfax will cease to trade, with services concentrated at the other two town centre premises at 1 South Street and 30 Carfax.
Staff from the closing branch will move to the remaining town centre addresses.
Customers have been reassured this week in a letter from the bank that there will be no changes to accounts or other banking services offered by the group.
Executive director of retail and private banking Charlotte Hogg said: “I want to reassure you that we are confident we can continue to provide the high level of service in the local community.” However, the letter adiveses anyone with concerns to call a dedicated helpline on 0845 604 6885.
