A Horsham duo are on a mission to offer worldclass cocktails to the people of Sussex with their new business.
Kampai Cocktails - a pop-up bar launched by professional mixologists Ryu Okada and Simon O’Carroll - compacts the stylish city venue into mobile station filled with your favourite tipples.
“It’s an art,” Ryu told the County Times. “I always want to surprise customers and entertain them through my cocktails. Some people express themselves through painting, I express myself through cocktail making.”
His career erupted at some of the capitol’s best known cocktail-making venues, including Detroit, Blend and Ronnie Scott’s. He went on to join Wabi in Horsham, before going into business with Simon O’Carroll, 23.
The duo created a specialist mobile cocktail bar which caters for an assortment of events from weddings and private parties to golf days and corporate functions. The business gets its name from the Japanese word for ‘cheers’.
Ryu and Simon will work with their clients to tailor the bar and provide a cocktail menu gleaming with individuality. Their elaborate list of ingredients means no drink is impossible to create.
