Gatwick’s turnover increased by more than ten per cent from 2012, it announced today (November 26).

Year-on-year footfall from April to September has increased by 4.4 per cent - almost one million - to 21m.

And income per passenger coming from South Terminal retail has increased by two per cent to an average of £3.55.

Stewart Wingate, CEO of London Gatwick, said: “Our results today show a strong financial performance but we must not become complacent. We must continue to invest and ensure we remain competitive.”
