Entrepreneurial mum of three celebrated the grand opening of her new fashion shop in Horsham last week.
Over 100 guests attended the Champagne launch party at Tomoli&Will on 35 East Street on Thursday, November 22.
With over 20 years of marketing experience under her belt, Gill East has brought high-end ladies’ brands to the fashionistas of Horsham, all whilst working a full time job.
The Plummers Plain resident said: “I work for Beam Global focusing on their marketing and procurement.
“By having this good corporate job, I had the financial backing to start all this.”
Gill is still dedicated to her full time career, but her family roots have always lied within the world of fashion.
“Fashion has been in my blood forever. My mother used to make dresses in London and my grandmother had a fashion store.”
Under the cloud of an economic recession, Gill recognises the obstacles of starting up an independent business, but is not worried.
“Knowing the Horsham market, I’ve pitched the collections around the Horsham target audience.
“I want customers to feel that it’s their shop.”
Tomolie&Will is named after her three children Tom, Olie and Will - and Gill hopes it may inspire working mums to follow their dreams.
“If you’ve got passion and determination you can achieve anything.”
Selling designer clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery and gifts imported from America and Spain, as well as classic British wear, the shop sits just outside of Horsham town centre on the corner of East Street that was recently pedestrianised.
Party guests praised the chic look and location.
Georgina Blackwell, 24, said: “It’s so nice to see so many different brands. Well worth the walk from town.”
Tomoli&Will is now open.
