A 52-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital with ‘serious’ injuries following a collision on Guilford Road, Clemsford, Horsham.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue assisted in freeing the woman from her white Peugeot Cabriolet shortly after 10am this morning (Friday August 5).

She has been taken to Kings College Hospital, London, with serious injuries which are confirmed to be non life threatening.

The road remains closed between Roman Gate roundabout and Clemsford.

Sussex Road Policing Officers remain at the scene and the cause of the incident is being investigated.
