Billingshurst has crowned its Princess ready for the big Village Fair.

On Tuesday May 22 Billingshurst Junior School held a competition to decide on the Princess, attendant and flower girls for the Billingshurst Show Carnival 2012.

The theme for this year’s carnival procession on June 24 is Kids’ TV and organisers are expecting many great floats to be joining in.

Paul Starkey, chairman of Billingshurst Show organising committee, said: “We’re delighted to announce that Phil Gallagher form CBeebies’ Mister Maker will be joining us at the Show.

“By popular demand, Richard Curtis and his amazing K9 Freestyle Dancing Dogs are returning to the Show - anyone who has seen them will know that their displays are definitely not to be missed.

“There’s plenty of music and dancing including Morris Men and Clog Dancers. As always there is the ever-popular Dog Show with a great range of fun classes as well as Pedigree and Obedience classes.”

With a host of attractions in the Arena and around the field, including old favourites and new arrivals, all ages and tastes should be catered for whilst retaining the best traditions of the Village Fair, which has made the Billingshurst Show so popular.
