A DIAL POST garden centre is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ by offering customers free tea and coffee for a donation to the charity.
Old Barn Nursery & Garden Centre is inviting people to go along to a coffee morning it is hosting in aid of the charity on Friday, September 30 from 9am until noon.
Mig Ammolla, manager, said: “We will be providing free tea and coffee between 9am and noon and inviting customers to make a donation to the charity.
“We hope lots of people come along to the event and help us support this worthy cause.”
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s flagship event.
Last year, more than 43,000 official coffee mornings were held, raising more than £8million for the charity. This year Macmillan is hoping to raise even more money.
Charles Byrne, head of corporate partnerships and events at Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “We are very grateful for the support from Old Barn Nursery & Garden Centre.
“There are more than two million people in the UK living with cancer and every penny we raise will help us reach out to even more people who need our support.”
Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
