The Firebird Brewing Company has promised a ‘great party’ at its Winter Brewfest today (Saturday November 28).
The brewery, based at the regenerated old Rudgwick Brickworks, is hosting the event from 11am to 7pm.
Firebird was founded by Bill King, a fifth-generation brewer of rich local heritage, and Richard Peters.
Bill and Richard are highlighting the importance of the brickworks off Lynwick Street and its new businesses as community assets.
Bookham and Harrison, makers of Sussex Charmer cheese, have opened a café and deli on the site, and the Firebird directors hope their brewery shop, indoor beer garden and regular brewery tours will help to ensure engagement with the local community.
Richard said: “We’ve got a great party planned. We have a huge selection of our beers on, local ciders and gins, music, dancing and loads more. It really should be a great community day.”
Entry is free and there will be a bouncy castle for younger visitors, plus food choices and Christmas gift ideas.
