A bedroom was destroyed after a fire broke out in a house in Horsham on Saturday (July 26).

Firefighters were called to the home in Alder Copse, off Granary Way, at about 12.45pm.

Ninety per cent of the ground floor bedroom was damaged by the fire, and a female suffered a minor band to her hand.

Two breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a positive pressure ventilation fan were used by firefighters.

The fire was ruled accidental.
