An appeal has been launched for two developments at Ghyll House Far, Copsale after Horsham District Council failed to give notice of it decision in the ‘appropriate’ time.

The applications to convert redundant stables into three homes and to demolish existing buildings and covert former agricultural buildings for business use were submitted in February, but HDC did not make a decision within the eight week target period.

Nuthurst Parish Council told HDC it ‘vehemently objected’ against the conversion of buildings for business use and a number of residents raised objections including additional traffic and noise would bring and that it was an unsustainable location.

People wishing to make a comment on DC/12/0435 or DC/12/0436 should write to the Planning Inspectorate at 3/22 Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6PN no later than August 28 2012.

Details of the applications can be viewed by entering the planning numbers on the HDC’s Public Access forum at http://www.horsham.gov.uk/environment/4580.aspx
