Twenty eight children aged between 5 and 9 attended Explorers Holiday Club which was held on June 6-8 and run by a team of volunteers at St Mary’s Church, Billingshurst.
As well as aerobics, silly games, songs, and custard pies, the children enjoyed watching a series of plays. The plot was three desert explorers searching each day for an artefact and the “Professor” explaining how each one fitted into a Bible story.
In their group times the children made boats, painted stones, made rainbow mobiles, did sandpaper pictures and baked crown jewel biscuits and despite the weather they were able to play games outside. Both adults and children alike had a great time.
Tesco Metro in Pulborough kindly donated squash and biscuits for the children.
