Sussex Police has finished its search of the Shoreham Airshow crash site, and the closed section of road is set to open next week.
However, motorists are advised that the one-way lane closure westbound on the A27 near Shoreham-by-Sea will remain in place this weekend, with speed restrictions of 40mph.
Detective Chief Inspector Carwyn Hughes, senior identification manager for Sussex Police, said: “Our officers and staff have been meticulous and have worked hard over the past three weeks to find answers for the victims’ families. We have now finished work on the A27, however our investigation continues.”
The screens will stay up on the roadside until further notice for reclamation work on the land to be completed.
Cllr John O’Brien ,West Sussex County Council cabinet member for highways and transport, said: “Work on the recovery operation is progressing and all agencies are working closely to get this completed.
“The understanding and patience the local community has shown has been such a great help to us all.
“We ask for further patience and understanding from motorists planning to travel along the A27 this weekend.”
The closed westbound lane is expected to be reopened to traffic by Highways England next week.
