A place of fun and worship

I have been attending Life Community Baptist Church regularly since 2004, when my life was completely transformed by a revelation of Jesus Christ.

It happened at an Alpha course and I felt as if a sort of ‘covering’ was lifted from me and I was able to see something that I was unable to see before.

At the time, I knew a lot of facts about God and I also claimed to know God, but the reality was I didn’t have a personal relationship with Him. There is a big difference between knowing about God and knowing Him on a personal level.

At the very heart and the centre of every church should be the person of Jesus Christ. It’s not about Sundays or buildings but about relationships. At Life there is a strong sense of a family, a community of friends held together by strength of relationship, shared faith and an experience of God’s grace.

It’s small, warm and friendly with sound biblical teaching relevant to our modern day living. There is a particularly strong gifting of encouraging one another, a place of sharing and support.

I love Sunday mornings as we come to celebrate our God together and midweek we meet up in individuals homes for prayer, bible study, worship and fellowship. It’s also a place of fun. On the first Sunday of the month we have ‘Messy Church’ in the Forest Youth Wing with food, crafts, games and music which is fun for both the adults as well as the children.

I’ve come to appreciate that the greatest gifts we are given in this life is the God we know, the people we know and the friendships that grow out of those relationships. I have found all that at Life Church.
