A SOUTHWATER dog's amazing tale of survival has thrust her owners into the spotlight of the national media.

Border terrier Ruby had been missing for 16 days when she was discovered buried alive in a compost heap whilst her owner was taking out courgettes.

After the County Times broke the extraordinary story, Ruby and her owners Tim and Judith Brown, from Southwater, have featured in the Sunday Express, and will now be interviewed on BBC Southern Counties Radio.

Ruby had apparently got stuck down a rabbit hole after escaping from the garden.
