COULD you raise bags of money for Cancer Research UK? Swan Walk Shopping Centre is and it isn't costing them a penny!

The Centre is delighted to accept the challenge set by Cancer Research UK as it launches Donation Station on Thursday May 22.

The Donation Station, which enables employees and customers to bring in a bag of quality donated items, will help to raise funds for urgent research to help beat cancer without anyone having to put their hands in their pockets.

Every bag of good-quality items donated could be worth as much as £30!

'Bellyvision' models will be handing out collection bags to members of the community who will be asked to return them to the Donation Station, situated outside Whittard and Classic Bags, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

"Our aim is to collect 1000 bags," explained Gill Buchanan, Centre Manager at Swan Walk Shopping Centre.

"We know how passionate the people of Horsham are, and welcome the challenge set from Cancer Research UK's Donation Station. This community is strong and very caring.

"Unfortunately, many of us have been affected by cancer to some extent, and the impact cancer has can be felt from almost everyone in the community. I'm sure that the people of Horsham will pull together and donate all they can to this very worthy cause."

Items that can be donated are: good quality clothes, shoes, accessories, household items, videos, books, CDs, DVDs, and games. These items will then be sold in Cancer Research UK's shops.

If you've not yet started your spring cleaning, this is the perfect opportunity to do it. Come down to Swan Walk and pick up a bag from the collection point outside Whittard and Classic Bags.

Take it home, fill it up with goodies and head back down to the Centre where you can donate your bag at the drop-off point by Saturday June 7.
