RESIDENTS have responded with anger to news a Horsham pub could be demolished to make way for 14 new homes.

Developers have applied to knock down the Nelson pub, in Trafalgar Road, and to build the new development in its place.

Local dad Tim Wilkins, of Trafalgar Road, has called on residents to unite against the plans.

He said: "It would be great to see the local community get together and fight this and save the pub.

"It would be a dreadful shame to lose it.

"So many people in this area use the pub and love the pub, from the young to the old.

"Everybody is very fond of it."
