A MAN was robbed by four people in Horsham's Causeway early on Saturday morning.

Police say a man and a woman were confronted by two men and two women.

"A member of the group then demanded property from the couple and the male was subsequently thrown to the ground and kicked, before having a mobile phone and a set of keys stolen," said DS Darren Lillywhite of Horsham CID.

"The male suffered minor injuries to his head and face."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Horsham CID on 0845 6070 999.

A local man was later arrested and is due to appear in court next week.
