Horsham man charged with murder

POLICE have charged a Horsham man with murder after the body of a woman was found in a flat in the Needles estate on Saturday (March 22).

Martin James Garratty, 40, of Godwin Court, in Jockey Mead, has been remanded in custody and will appear at Crawley Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday March 25).

A Sussex Police spokesperson said the body of a woman in her 60s was found in a different Godwin Court flat shortly before midnight on Saturday.

The woman is believed to be Rhona Heywood.
