A CHARITY shop in Horsham is appealing for businesses to help give its interior a facelift.

The Cancer Research UK store in East Street is hoping carpeting companies will volunteer their services.

The appeal has gone out because flooring can be expensive and the shop is keen to focus all its money on battling cancer.

Shop manager Victoria Francis said: "We are hoping that we can do this with minimum cost to the charity, and so it would be great if any businesses - or anyone for that matter! - are able to help us, we would be exceptionally grateful.

"We're hoping there are some carpet and floor-covering businesses in the area that are prepared to donate any end-of-range laminate flooring, or industrial strength carpet, to help a good cause.

"The shop is open for 48 hours each week, so over the years a fair bit of dirt and dust has been trampled into them – our poor old carpet is peeling back at the edges.

"We will be delighted with anything a business can offer us!"
The shop can be contacted on 01403 258526.
