AN anti-bullying project developed by Haywards Heath's Oathall Community College has gained nationwide recognition.

The college has been commended in the annual National Crimebeat competition, which is run by The Association of High Sheriffs of England and Wales to get young people involved with crime reduction.

They reached the final of National Crimebeat after scooping top prize earlier this year in Safer Place, a competition run by the West Sussex Strategic Community Safety Partnership.

Oathall's winning project focused on tackling bullying both in and out of school.
