Have your say

In this, the latest in our daily news reports taken from the West Sussex County Times of 1914, we have an advert for a familiar bread.

“Your daily bread should not only nourish your body, but should also maintain your health without medicine.

“Allinson Wholemeal Bread does this; it is the finest food for health, besides being the most delicious bread ever baked. Old and young should eat it at every meal to banish Constipation, Indigestion, Anaemia etc.

“Allison Bread is baked by F Branch, School Hill, Warnham; J Bennett, High Street, Billingshurst.”

As part of our First World War centenary coverage we want to hear from you. If you live in the Horsham district and had a relative who fought in the war, tell us about them. It doesn’t matter if the relative lived outside the area.
