Not sure the 5mph disparity would have impressed the JP.

“George Walter Bowdidge, of 74, Station Road, Horsham, pleaded guilty to driving a motor cycle with side-car attached to the public danger at Horsham on April 2.

“PC Burningham said said he was outside the Workhouse and saw defendant pass about thirty miles an hour. Defendant said his speedomoter recorded 25 miles an hour.”
