More poachers are up in court.

“William Taylor, Frederick Reynolds and William Parker, gipsies, were charged with stealing a rabbit, net value 6d, the property of Thomas Whittington on or about January 14th.

“PC Arthur G Lamberth, stationed at Partridge Green said that on the previous day at about 7.30am he had occasion to search the prisoners under the Poaching Prevention Act.

“In the course of his search he found the net produced amonst others. The three men had been about the neighbourhood of Cowfold for some time. Prisoners were remanded till today (Saturday).”
